In some sectors various levels or designations carry different uniforms, to easily segregate the employees and staff. If you visit any five star or luxurious hotel and resort, you will see multiple staff wearing different uniforms. Each of them is identifiable based on their appearance and the department that they are servicing. From a doorman and sweeper to Chef’s and Managers, all have their own different uniform set.
Speaking about a doorman, do we even know how significant his presence is when we arrive at the Porch after a long tiring journey? Some might not even consider looking or greeting him, but the doorman no matter what puts a smile on his face and carries on with his work. If you look closely enough they are one’s who are the face of the respective hotel, as you are greeted with a warm smile by them first before entering the property. They will courteously open the door and guide you ahead and also instruct the Valet on parking your vehicles appropriately. So its of prime importance that he needs to be well-dressed and good mannered, full of etiquette and grace. If he does not have the requisite skill set, no matter how royally he is dressed, it would make no difference. Similarly if he is well-mannered and dressed in an uniform, which is not impressive, he would still fail to make the requisite impression. The more a Doorman is comfortable and confident enough in his uniform the more enthusiastic he will be at work. His beaming smile and exuding warmth, will stem from the confidence of being dressed appropriately for the role that he would be designated to play.
